Where have we been?? THE Golden Retriever Gathering at Guisachan
Margaret, Rebecca and Mike were lucky enough to attend this wonderful event.
We also fitted in the large English Golden Retriever Club Championship show two week earlier.
Rebecca and Mike included this in their eight week holiday, while Margaret went for a much shorter time and also visited Daniel (my brother, her son) in France. We also went back to the Aran Islands, off Galway Bay, Ireland, to where much of our family history comes from.
I was away for most of July and August, and since then have been trying to catch up on a little of the website up keep.
We will all try to get something together to tell a little about a trip in time, but for now I wish to just put up a few pictures. For those who do not know the history of the golden retriever, Guisachan is the home of the golden - where it was first bred. The town of Tomich in the Scottish highlands is the town that serviced Guisachan, but i will go into more detail later, for now, some pictures of the dogs at the ruins.
Funny who you find in Scotland! and Rebecca the judge at the SGRC (story to come!)
